Shopped in the clearance section at Target today for “shinies” as my friend said.
I liked a lot of the big gaudy costume jewelry.. giant rings arent my thing really but I did love the look of them. Really lovely boho, saturated colors, glitzy but not overly blingy.
All I could think though is that I’d rather spend $7 on beads and create something amazing than buy some cheap plastic crap. I’m sure if I get the jewelry bug again I’ll end up spending more on beads than I would on jewelry, but oh well.
Need to have a jewelry making session with girlfriends in my basement, maybe if everyone brings some supplies to share around/trade and we all maybe make a goal of creating a few new things it’d be a fun. Especially with some drinks or whatever. 8 months ago
I bought some earrings last week and started wearing them. First I’d forgotten how many piercings I had, which is funny. It turns out I have 5 ear piercings. I seem to remember all of them (mostly bloody-at home jobs.).. but somehow forgot how many sets or something.
Anyway, people seemed to notice and kept asking me what I was off to go do. “Have a hot date or something? Man you look good!” one of my preschool mom friends said.
So little effort, but apparently a lot of payout. Weird right?? 8 months ago
