drive by myself

I feel alot more confident driving now than I ever did! I just have to make sure that I do what I have set myself and drive everyday!

I drove to my friend’s wedding by myself and just barely made it for the last few minutes of the ceremony.

I had trouble starting the car (a Smart I hadn’t driven before), and getting out of the multi-story car park (the access card got stuck). This was a scream because a rock festival was going on nearby and a couple of tough looking and very drunk guys tried to help me – I must have looked the damsel in distress in my flowery dress and high heels.

Then I got horribly lost trying to find the tiny town. Oh, and I ran into a post while turning the car. The way back wasn’t much better but I should be thankful no one was hurt.

Next time I will plan things better and bring a navigator.

I still dont try it. I only drive once in a month. Instead I call my brother to take me from where I am, and it is tiring for both of us. When the summer break begins I surely need to focus on this subject or I will never be able to drive!!! :S

I drove by myself for the first time in a rental car right out of LAX. The guy who gave me the rental car seemed a bit worried, but all went well :-)
