Learn more about everything

Learning is mostly a pleasure for me. I say mostly because I don’t like the curriculum The Hard School of Knocks offers.

I am a voracious reader, mostly non-fiction. I would like to take some college classes just to see where that would lead me. I love to pick people’s brains especially when they are very different than me.

I have taught myself how to use a table saw, a scroll saw,a jigsaw, a mitre saw and how to lay ceramic tile. I am presently tiling my backsplash, countertop, and kitchen and foyer floors. I finished the bathrooms, thanks to learning how to use a tile cutter and a wet saw.

I would like to learn sign language, morse code, and French and Italian.

A library is a wonderful place to begin learning about anything and everything. Libraries have a lot more sources of information than just books. A really fast way to learn more about a lot of things is to get a job in the reference department of a public library. I did that back when very few people had access to the Internet, and the World Wide Web had not yet been invented. A job I never regretted, even though the pay was minimal.

Being a know-it-all is fun! Going to community college has really inspired me to know more about the world.
