Man, I’m rockin’ at this. Today I met the elementary school principal at the school I’m volunteering at, and I didn’t divert my eyes once during our conversation. The more you do it, the easier it gets. So close to marking this off!
How to look people in the eye
How I did it: Looking at folks in the eyes, though uncomfortable at times, was never really the problem. Remembering to do so on the other hand was the primary issue. The routine email reminders ensured I would make an effort to look people in the eyes.
People doing this are also doing these things:

When I meet new people I never look them in the eye as I am speaking.
This is my observation of the day.

I have no problem doing this with S or B, and G, not really. With T, yes, definitely. I don’t know why. With some people it bothers me and with some it doesn’t. I just can’t figure out what makes the difference. I guess it doesn’t matter.
I want to do this consistently until December; then I will mark this off my list.
By putting this reminder on here, I’ve been doing this actively more and more.

I have been forgetting about this. Some people I naturally look in the eyes and others I don’t. It’s interesting.

I’ve been working on this. Sometimes I even make a conscience effort to look people in the eye when we are talking. I’ve noticed that there is one person whom I never look in the eye and they never look at me either when we are talking. I think it’s because I don’t trust her and she probably knows it. I think it’s because of our past and things get awkward sometimes.
CrazyFlea is crazy
It’s only last year that i realised i haven’t look people in the eye when they are talking. I mean i do but when our eyes lock i tend to avoid eye contact after that ‘cos it just feels uneasy. I have been trying to look people in the eye more now and it still feels uncomfortable. Hopefully it will feel natural soon! =D
Lucite is so excited for the summer!!
It’s not hard for me to look people in the eye when they’re talking to me, but when I’m talking that’s another story.
