Look people in the eye

without or in spite of the fear . with a sense of humour .try and
see where it goes . don’t have to say anything just acknowledge

day 2 thinking about this do i really like people who look me in the
eye ???? does anybody really like people that look them in the
eye . if you don’t have anything to be ashamed about maybe you
have no shame ?

I’ve been working on this. Sometimes I even make a conscience effort to look people in the eye when we are talking. I’ve noticed that there is one person whom I never look in the eye and they never look at me either when we are talking. I think it’s because I don’t trust her and she probably knows it. I think it’s because of our past and things get awkward sometimes.

It’s only last year that i realised i haven’t look people in the eye when they are talking. I mean i do but when our eyes lock i tend to avoid eye contact after that ‘cos it just feels uneasy. I have been trying to look people in the eye more now and it still feels uncomfortable. Hopefully it will feel natural soon! =D

It’s not hard for me to look people in the eye when they’re talking to me, but when I’m talking that’s another story.

I’m usually able to look at people when they talk to me, but not for long periods of time, it just.. feels too intense. I find it hard to look at people when they’re really close to my face too, because I feel they can see every ugly detail on me.

Still, I know it looks even worse when I don’t look at them. A calm, firm gaze is so confident and lovely, whatever I look like. I want that. So, this is just a matter of reminding myself of this goal every time I’m listening or speaking to someone.

I am in business and I need to be able to do this without a second thought…

Tonight I met a truckload of new people and I not only did an awesome job keeping conversations going, I did an amazing job at keeping eye contact too!

I was “normal” in high school but when I turned 18 something happened and I lost my ability to look people in the eye. I keep trying to get better at it but I overanalyze my problem and the next thing I know I feel more confused. Guess I need to practice letting go of the anxiety I feel when I have to look at someone. Having to reclaim my power is one of the greatest challenges I will face in this lifetime.

It’s super easy when it’s with people I’ve met more than once. I haven’t met anyone new in the past few days… so I’ll say I’ve been doing well?
