surfing in summer is just insane!!
How to surf in Australia
It made me 
"pretty fun"
How I did it: I went to sydney researched all the beaches and conditions, rented a board form manly and paddled out in some 2ft stuff that I probably wouldnt have looked twice at if it was my local, there were about 30 people out too, but had no drop ins and there was heaps of respect out there. wish NZ beaches were the same!!!
next walked out of the house and found a surfboard someone had thrown out, so went out again.

Man im 17 and live in australia and have never surfed!!! I wanna do this sooo badly

I live in NZ and we have pretty good waves but nothing compared to sydneys, Im going to sydney next xmas and dont wanna be unprepared. in nz I only surf 2-5ft waves but I dont wanna go all the way to oz and see perfect 10ft waves breaking and not be fit enough to get out there and ride them, or get snaked by all the locals cause I cant keep up. so I guess its time to start training.
