get a doctorate degree

What would be a good statement for career objectives pretaining to a doctorate in education?

Turned down for a full scholarship last year – 18 slots available. Lost interest – may study by auditing courses when I’m 55.

Well I am getting close to finishing this one. I have finished all of my course work and have written my comprehensive exam. I am currently working on my dissertation proposal and waiting on results from my comps.

Waiting with fingers crossed yet pressing ahead as if everything is OK.

do I really need it?

i just finished my masters in elementary education. simultaneous to that, i also got my preliminary CA credential. this fall of 2006 i’m enrolled to take my “fifth year” program at Loyola Marymount University. the siginificance of the fifth year is to clear my credential—no longer preliminary. on the duration of this coming school year, i will be in the process of taking my gre and upping it to be able to get into really good universities. i’m eyeing Stanford University. moreover, southern ca universities are not bad. we have UCLA, USC, LMU. i’m also thinkgin of trying out to apply at Georgetown U, Columbia. m i think it’s a long shot for me to leave ca. too early for me to tell though. i’m crossing my fingers for Stanford. if just in case iwon’t get into their PhD program, i will try to get in their masters level…i believe in my heart that Stanford has something to offer me…and i feel that i will be more enriched by that university…i also have a lot to offer…i’m curious at the learning process happening in that university… and i feel that the people that i will meet there will be a learning experience as well…

I got the master degree three years ago, now i want to earn a doctorate degree.
I am living in beijing, so i want to go Peking University or Chinese Academy of Science to earning the doctorate degree.
But I am worry about my poor English:(

I have been postponing this for years and really need to get down to this.I promise myself that I will get down to do the needful in the coming 45 days to be well on my way towards this.

About 10 years ago, I was accepted to seminary, but didn’t go. Now I work at a library and live near a university that has a library science program. I just love to learn about all kinds of things – theology and information encompass a lot. I also have an interest in ancient civilization – archealogy, anthropology, the origin of language.

I’m thinking of doing a PhD in China. Unthinkable? Chinese are going out of the country to get a phd and I want to come an get one in China.

I need to find out detail on what the route is like.
