The first day of many. 7 months ago

I did 50 pushups this morning. I used to do pushups every day before my shower in the morning and when i would come home all dirty from work. I fell out of that habit less than a year ago and now its time to pick it right back up. And on Monday through Friday, since I shower twice, I will be doing 100 pushups a day, starting tomorrow.

Aside from working in construction I feel the need to get into the best shape that I can. Yoga sounds nice also. I no longer want to ache from laborious tasks. And I want to work on my breathing.

Beginning 18 months ago

I feel as though I started a new beginning on yesterday with my first workout in a while. But I need to be careful of not overpromising myself and underdelivering. Not expecting too much and not feeling overwhelmed.There was one exercise in particular that released a lot of the tension. My thoughts are still on p/u at nite before bed and s/u in morn when first wake up. I did not do last nite or this morn b/c of my w/o yesterday. I keep worrying I will over do it when I have not exercised in a long time and that I have to start over each time because of lack of consistency. I am thinking my limited gym time/subscription will help me in the discipline department when it comes to working out. Yesterday did not bother me that I had to take time and that I felt I had or could be doing other things besides w/o. Half the battle is getting there. Establishing a routine of just getting there and then doing what is appropriate or my body will allow creates the habit to stick with it and a program of exercise.

Progress 18 months ago

I thought about often today but scared to make committment for fear won’t keep it. Worried about getting up early enough in the morning to work out. Don’t want to go to sleep after work this evening to be able to get up. Feeling is that I am working all day and that excercising is work also.

I’ve made great progress on this one over the last 12 months and I really enjoy working on it now. Once you get into fitness and find ways to be active and push yourself physically it’s a lot of fun and feels awesome! This one will stay with me forever.

Starting out by making more conscious choices about the food I eat and taking a step aerobics class 2x a week.Kind of easing into it,going for a bike ride,a hike,a walk.With work and school and studying I have to use my time wisely.I have a favorite hike I like to take and I bring my homework with me to the top of the overlook-it’s a quiet beautiful place to get some studying done.
