do my tax returns

I finally did my 05/06 return and rolled it in with my 07/08 one. I owed for the first and get a refund for the later…the difference is a measly $7 owing to the tax man…however…he has the power! He can charge me interest for the 2 years I was late and a whopping $550 fine is a possibility too…all for $7! crazy mofos. I will wait for the angry letter to arrive and hope it contains just a first-offense warning. Fingers crossed ey?

Feels good to have them done though, despite it costing me $215 to get an accountant to do what I could have done myself…the (further) price for delaying 2 years I guess. Lets hope the stupid ATO makes their software compatible with Macs for 2009 or I will be tres pissed.

This one is bothering me – I have been putting it off and putting it off.

I just have to get it done!

06/07 return lodged tonight and expecting a refund Yay! Now just have to do 05/06 and make sure I get something back then too!

I am so used to getting a return and last year my dogewaar attempt at doing it myself left me owing?! So I never submitted it. Must do asap for peace of mind!

THX-1138, and a form ZZ-plural Z-alpha, but nothing that I need for these tax returns, so I am declaring this done.

Step 5: Just buckle down and do it. Done.
Step 6: Print out the returns to review. Done.
Step 7: Search around the house for any 1099-B,C,D,I,MISC forms that might be hiding from me. In process.

Step 1: Install TurboTax and get updates. Done.
Step 2: Read the latest issue of Budget Travel. Done.
Step 3: Buy a new bicycle. Done.
Step 4: Putter around on 43things. In process.

I am going to fill out my tax forms because I have to.

The longer I leave it, the harder it’s going to get. I’m Surprised I haven’t heard from the tax man.
5 years and counting… could this be the year?
