get into politics

While I’m studying in London for the semester, I’m interning at Lambeth Council. I’ve gotten to meet a lot of the councillors and I’ve learned a lot about Labour’s policies locally. I’m doing pretty well at this goal, because I’ve also been keeping more up to date on the news, and am able to keep up in discussions about politics back home. I still need to get better with names and figures, but I’ll get there.

I really think that this may be something that I want to pursue as a career someday.

I’m trying to join up with a Political Review magazine on campus, and go to some other organizations’ meetings regularly. I’ve also been paying attention to the news much more frequently, and asking questions and researching when I don’t know about something, rather than just pretend I know and live in ignorance. I’ll check this one off as soon as I start attending meetings.
