Currently I am a pescatatian, but I want to give up fish as well, and eventually become vegan, but the transition is hard! I’ll deal with it though. xD

Samantha is a Tree Hugging Creative Reinventer
I read a book on vegetarianism last year and it really had an impact on me. I had already thought about not eating meat (since I didn’t eat most of it anyway) and wanted to do more research on it. I didn’t want people to think I just became one because of the poor animals (well, that had a lot to do with it). I wanted to inform them of everything I learned.
I started slowly becoming a vegetarian on January 1, 2008. I had a few relapses (that turkey salad sandwich was good: I was STARVING). But I have done an awesome job at not eating any red meat. I was never a really big meat eater. Ma would cook pork chops and ribs..ick. She knew I didn’t like them. (This would be the few times that my mother would cook.)
As of now, I only eat seafood. (Except lobster, those poor things in the tanks at the store!) I would love to go full out vegetarian. My only hesitation is protein intake. I know I could consume tofu and peanuts, I just feel like I need more protein than that.

i don’t eat any meat, but i still eat fish.
one day i want to stop eating all types of meat!
Chicken was the easy one for me…I have read some horror stories about the processing of them – no wonder so many people get food poisoning from chicken – they are filthy.
We keep some animals on our farm and did get a cow killed a few months ago. Eating her would not break the rules as she was farmed humanely, grown in a sustainable manner and killed at home without stres…however I still can’t bring myself to do it! Have been selling her meat off to all those other carnivores out there.
I’ve managed to cut out all meat except chicken. I know chickens are treated one of the worst, but my household has it ALL THE TIME, so it’s really hard to get rid of it completely when I grew up with it and been having it nearly every day. I’m going to try.
When i went on a mostly fat free diet about a year ago I stopped eating most meat….so now I eat meat about one a week and don’t eat dairy either.
I want to stop altogether over the next 12 months. Being a vegetarian is good for the environment and animal welfare..do you know how horrible most farming is????
The only non-veggie thing left in my diet was fish/seafood. I figure if I couldn’t kill it, then I shouldn’t make anyone else do it for me. I’m not sure if I’ll miss fish or not. It was a convienient source of protein for me. I have found a veggie source of a complete omega supplement. Bye Bye lovely shrimp ring with your funny little tails . . .
I have been mostly vegetarian for over 2 years, but occasionaly include fish. I have decided to cut fish out of my diet also. I will have to find other great sources for the Omega3 I read so much about.
