Ride a horse

I had the chance to ride a horse when I was little, but I was scared of how big the horse was and how high I had to get so I didn’t get on the horse. Well now they’re not scary to me and I want to ride a horse.

today I drove past the only remaining stable in our area… and they had a sign advertising Sunday Pony Rides. So, would I have the nerve to get on my Jodphurs and Paddock Boots and have Mr. B take me ?

Greenlawn Equestrian Center is now accepting boarders and riding students. It is a 20 stall facility with 2 outdoor riding arenas and 9 individual turnout paddocks (minimum of 6 hrs turnout). We have 2 trainers available that teach hunt seat and dressage.

Hmm, well if it isn’t raining Sunday maybe I’ll go, because Monday I have this nasty gastrotest called a HIDA scan…

I suppose I will just have to show up some Sunday.  They better have Big Welsh Ponies..  lol...

this is one of those skills that I want to do but which kind of need to wait until I lose weight (I don’t normally talk about losing weight, I normally talk about getting in shape. But in this case I am too heavy and off balance).

ive been terrified of horses as long as i can remember. ive never even touched one. id like to ride one to get over my fear

Well, it was a long time ago when I was 4 years old. Me and my faimily were going trailing when we saw a free ride on a horse. I was so small that they couldn’t fasen me on. Well, they lost controll of the horse and it went fast!! It was a great time, though not so great when I fell in a lake..

I went to horse camp when I was a kid because my mom knew I loved horses.

Then, 2 years ago, I worked at an overnight camp that provided horseback riding as an activity and my cabin-mate ran the area so she taught me how, again. :)

I have gotten permission to do Tai Chi, and swim.

No horses yet.

Maybe in a few weeks ?

2 My Little Ponies at a sale yesterday. I know it doesn’t count, but I thought they were cute and good omens. They are on one of my altars…

to stopping at the nearest stable this afternoon (though I really was not supposed to be driving, but well, whatever)..
Then I thought about it and looked at the massive thunderhead on the horizon and figured that the horses wouldn’t be happy, nor would the owner or any trainers. But I was close. Closer than I have been since I taught riding through my local Women’s Center.
