apparently i handed in my resume too late for the post office :( (they had already started interviews by then). oh, well!

tesol fees will be taken care of easily – even with my current crap hours. although this is silly. i dislike my one job so much i think i need to get out there and amp up the job search.

frankly, i haven’t been too worried about it all, but i would like to save more $ & more quickly at that.

{le sigh}

i’m sorries. i think i’m just having a not so happy day…

what can i say – the job market sucks right now. so i’m taking what i can get!

although i’m still on the look out, even if it’s simply for a part-time job that will give me more hours than the one i have at the engraving store.

i may be able to pick up a few extra shifts at the engraving company’s sister store- which is a knife store. haha. it’s all about servicing there which i’d much prefer over all the selling tactics necessary at the engraving place.

i also dropped off a resume for a part-time position at the post office right by my house. i’m often there sending off my swap-bot mail so it wouldn’t hurt to be there AND get paid :p. plus i think i’d actually enjoy it unlike the engraving store.

wish me luck :)

p.s. hope the job hunt is going well for anyone else who’s looking!

i'm on the job hunt for full-time hours 3 months ago

...because 2 part-time jobs aren’t doing it for me & because i want to save $ & get outta this country.

although no matter what full-time position i obtain, i plan on keeping my carlton cards job. i actually enjoy that job & the employee discount is a bonus :)

Goal #1- Find Full Time Work 6 months ago

As long as it’s got creativity and a minimum of math involved- I will be very happy if I can find a full time job in any artistic field- Book illustration, grpahic design, comic illustrator, fashion designer, food artist, Singer, Music or art teacher- Working at a restaraunt. etc. This would help me reach goal #2 (which I consider going hand in hand with goal #1-!) I’ve applied to so many jobs with killer resume and cover letter, to no avail. I’ve recieved part time and one time jobs, but nothing that sustains over time.

I am working hard on getting this goal completed as it is my career and future.

Getting closer :) 7 months ago

Have been offered 15 extra hours as textiles technician.
Have done screen printing before but the weaving is new to me.
There’s one thing I’m not afraid of and love.
Learning new skills. woo hoo, bring it on.
Hours will then be up to 35.

so close 11 months ago

i have been working hard to make this happen, and i feel i am close. i finally have my resume down and know what i want to do. i just have to find a job close to home that will hire me, and practice my interviewing skills. i dont want to be away from my beautiful son full time, but i do want to be able to provide for him.

technically, I'm lying 13 months ago

I work three days a week, but I’m earning more than i would have at my old job working 5 and a half days a week so wooooo for me.
Plus I get heaps of bonuses and cool stuff at this job, and everyone there is so nice.
Anyhow, i would have settled for any job, seeing as how I’ve been with no job at all for three months.
