How I did it: Called my university health center to see about getting it--my insurance pays for most of it, so I ended up just paying $10 per shot. Â You have to get three shots, the second one 2 months (I think) after the first, and the final one at least six months after that. But definitely worth it!

But even these two will protect me to some extent, as I understand, so finally its a good thing, I just wish I had not had the trouble after the second shot, yet I still say, it was worth it. Even though I just got the first shot today, I’m marking this goal as done. I’ve got the ball rolling, which was why I created this goal. It HURT, but I think it’s worth it =]

I have already gotten the first two shots! I just have one left. :) I’m also getting [I think] the Hepatitis B vaccine? So after September, I will be able to go to Africa. Yay!!!

I’m going to have to drop into the doctors and confirm that I don’t have to start again … but I’m a month late on my second injection! I’ll pop into the doctors next weekend.

The process begins! I’ll be there for something else so there’s only one consultation fee – and I’ve confirmed that I won’t have to pay for her to administer it.

Second shot hurt more than the first… maybe just because the nurse seemed less sure of himself…? Still hurt; still worth it.

Had insurance issues getting the second shot back in September. Now I’m not so motivated.

And it wasn’t bad at all!!! Nothing compared to a tetanus shot and no side effects at all for me!
Do it!! Call your medical provider tomorrow morning!! Save up your own money and pay for it if you have to!
