I can’t believe I actually did this. It seems like such a daunting task leading up to it, but once you get your hands dirty and start pulling it apart, you realize that it really isn’t that bad. Once the old fabric and stuffing were removed from the chair, I made notes to remind myself which piece was what, how it had to go back on the chair, and in what order. Then I traced the old fabric onto the new fabric and cut out the pieces. After that, it was kind of like wrapping a present. It was tough pulling the fabric tight and using the staple gun at the same time, so a second pair of hands might come in handy (no pun intended…).
My chair is beautiful. It really gave me a sense of accomplishment. It was like I took this old, tired chair that nobody wanted to use because of how disgusting it looked, and I brought life back into it. I am absolutely in love!
