start a burlesque troupe

I’m at the point of needing a Choreographer to assist me with the production side of the business.

I’ve been working on costumes for other dancers, and would love to dance myself, but alas, I’m a teacher by profession and to twirl tassels would be conceived by some as un-professional. I’m gonna try general Vaudeville instead…

After returning from visiting family in Venezuela I resume teaching my Gothic Ethno-Fusion and Egyptian dance classes. I will also be getting my dance troup togther. I did burlesque asa well as profesional dance for over 15 years. I am now getting it started again in Danbury CT.

Actually more than performing I hope one day to open a burlesque bar- complete elegance with a subtle hint of debauchery :) I have such a clear picture in my head of how it will look, now i just need to start putting it together. Any advice, encouragement or ideas will be much appreciated.

I was a dancer/ collaborator in the Dazy Lays Cabaret! It was a lot of fun. I still do numbers at various art shows, to add a performance aspect. The possibilities are endless. The most important thing to do, is rehearse and be open to the talents and ideas of the troupe and it becomes a rewarding and creative endevour, and it can be done!
