you could always just boil them for 10-15 seconds in a pot of water the only problem is you have to find a way to make them keep their shape while your doing this. you can do it by wrapping it with thin wire or string though or anything really just as long as the shape holds. Another thing to do is to wrap a wet rag around the dread and press a flat iron down on the rag for about 20 seconds or so depending on the thickness of the dread. These methods leave the dreads slightly damp though and you have to lay them out and wait for them to dry.
Edit: when making dreads make sure you don’t use PP or polypropylene fibre which is really cheap synthetic hair it doesn’t heat seal. Kanekalon is really good for beginners it seals fairly easily.
i been lookin at some really cool falls, but cant help thinkin it would be cheaper to make my own, but i havnt got a clue were to start :(
any ideas :(
i’ve been wanting to go cyber goth for ages, but i cant just go half-hearted.
can someone give me a link to any website that tells you how to make falls, or at least tell me who could help.
pleease! i’ve looked everywhere for instructions.
I bought some Wool Roving last night, and I tried making my first few falls.
I failed miserably with around 6 of them but 2 were really promising. I need to run out and get some olive soap, I think my PH wasn’t high enough to felt effectively. Going to try this again today!

I’m still working on sealing well. I have a wig I want to dread up. The communities on Live Journal have been helpful as well as the extra-muffins message board. Gonna keep working on this one!
