Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)
Would be rather spiffy to add to my CV for both my Design work and teaching.
It would certainly give me a huge amount of confidence knowing that I have the manufacturers stamp of approval on my knowledge.
The obvious packages to study for are:
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Acrobat
If I achieve these this year I could look at learning the remaining packages in the Creative Suite too… but this is quite enough of a challenge for the year ahead. And I haven’t taken an exam since I was a teen!
The tricksy bit is that they’ll want me to know the whole software inside out – not just it’s print/design uses which I hope I’d pass with ease.
I’m really excited about this new challenge, it looks set to be a lot of work, but deeply satisfying.
