frenzied is new to this site. Please, be gentle :)
I’ve always loved languages. Traveling in a country, going to a local hangout, just listening to the way people communicate, I love it.
Pity I can’t understand a word they say.
I’d really like to learn a few language and 5 seemed like a nice challenging number. French (man I love the accents of the French ladies), German, Spanish, Japanese & my native English (well Aussie – quite a few differences!) would be my ideal language set.
Will be a challenge, but hey I have the rest of my life. Time to hit the books and get some penpals (if they still exist in this tech age).

It has been a year since I’ve logged on, but I’ve decided I’m actually serious about doing this and I remembered how much more motivation this site gives me. So here I am, dears.
So far:
English – fluent, mother tongue
French – good vocabulary, difficulty with the grammar
Italian – fair grasp on grammar, shite vocabulary
German – extremley basic
I’m hoping to really improve my French and Italian this summer when I go abroad and then start Russian in September.
Assuming I improve the German as well, that makes five, though I am considering ditching German and starting something completely new, preferably a non-European language. I guess we’ll see how well the Russian goes.
I’m also really interested in Latin, so that’s an option as well.
This would be an amazing thing to be able to do. Wish me luck.

I have always had a passion for language and for travelling and although I’m fairly young (17) I’d love to be fluent in a few languages when I grow up…
My chosen 5 languages are…
– English (fluent-native)
– Spanish (95% fluent)
– Italian – beginner
– Japanese – beginner
– Hindi (if I can manage that one) haha
I’m 2/5 of the way there, with my native english and basically fluent spanish…
I am finding italian pretty easy as it is quite similar to spanish and french
I’ve studied Japanese before… but I’ve come back to it now
got to say… it’s not simple!
