I really want to 17 months ago

get accepted into and go to a good college. I want to go to Duke, UNC, or BYU. I’m going into high school this fall, and my grades and stuff in middle school really sucked, so I’m gonna really try to do this! =]

I did it! 19 months ago

I finally did it. I finally got accepted into a good college. I can’t believe it. I’m so happy—you have no idea.

got my interview 19 months ago

I finally got my interview with the admissions board this Thursday. Hopefully, I’ll get in. I have three grand in grant money that I have at my disposal until june of 2009, thankfully. I was tiny bit afraid that the grant had expired recently. But I was wrong and now I just need to work on getting a loan somewhere.

I'm 23 and still lost 19 months ago

Hello everyone,

I’ve just foudn this website through surfing. And, i need a bit of advice. I’m 23, and now starting to realize the mess i’ve brought myself to. I’ve messed up my first 3 years of college, (pretty much dropping most or failing my classes due to attendance.) Now, that I’ve had my tribulations, i’m ready to move forward, and really get into it. I have a few questions maybe anyone can answer. 1st. Can I retake my SATS, do well, and apply to universities? Will the accept me if i do well? (I did very well in high school, 3.8 GPA, but i never took my SATs,-long story) My GPA in High school was very good, it was a 3.8 unweighted. Now if i take my SATS again, would that be alright? Next move, would “the complete my transfer GEs and apply for transfer move” be better? Also, since my grades are all screwed up from one school, would it be better to attend another school nearby? Or continue to stay at that school but start over? PLEASE ADVISE!

Sent in my application 19 months ago

I sent in my application, essay, and transcripts and sent them to the college I want to go to. It’s funny because ten years ago, I remember my high school counsellor telling me I wouldn’t be accepted into this school. Hopefully, she’s very wrong. I’m applying, however, into a performance based admission program (which I didn’t even know existed until recently) specifically for adults who have no college experience. I hope to hear from the school soon.

from CSUN’s engineering class.

I’m fine though. That means I don’t have to take another class next year.

So, this means I’ll have to really start applying for colleges next year. This goal will be on hold til next year…

finally gave us the application for CSUN for the engineering class. It’s due Wednesday and I need $30 and my transcript. I’ll fill out the application, ask my loving parents for the money, and ask the office for my transcript Tuesday mourning since I won’t be at school on Monday.

I'm only 15, a sophmore 21 months ago

But I need to do this at the end of this year.

My high school is inside a university and they offer a college engineering class here. However, you can’t enroll in the engineering class unless you apply for the college and get accepted.

Plus that looks great on my brag sheet when I seriously start applying for colleges in 1 1/2 years.

So, one of my goals is in the next few months, apply and get accepted to the college part of my school.

I just found out that I’ve been accepted into the University of Memphis! I’m so happy! I still can’t believe I’m actually going to college now. I’m going to be a student-athlete too. One reason why I know before I’ve gotten my acceptance letter…my athletic academic counselor emailed me earlier this evening. I’ll never forget that feeling, just knowing it’s official is such a huge relief. I even knew I was guaranteed admission but there’s always a little bit of doubt.
