Million Paws Walk 11 months ago

I would love to participate in the Million Paws Walk which raises money for the largest animal shelter in Australia. I think not only would it be good for my fitness but it would be great fun and it’s for a great cause. This is definitely something I want to do for the animals one of these years!

I raised a bit of money... 12 months ago

...for a good cause, got lots of exercise, spent time with friends, and got to visit a new place in North Augusta that I wrote about here on 43-Places.

almost, but not quite 18 months ago

I raised nearly $200, but my social anxiety got the best of me, and I just couldn’t make it to the walk. I’m not giving up, though…I’ll try again next year, and for other charities, as well.

March For Babies 20 months ago

My kids and I are set up to walk in the March For Babies on the 26th of April. If you’re feeling a little charitable, why don’t you throw us a few bills to support our effort! It’d be greatly appreciated! Here’s the link to our page:

Ok, so we make a bit of a weak team. But… we were out there.

Did the 5k STAP Walk for The Southerntier Aides Awareness and Prevention Program! 2 years ago

It was an amazing day, the sun was shining, birds were chirping, you get the idea. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. There was so much energy in that crowd and it was really moving to see so many people supporting Broome county. There were 100’s of people walking. All together, over $58,000.00 was raised just for broome county. There were camera crews from News chanel 12, fox, radio stations- star 105.7, and another one I can’t remember. The broadway cast from the Rocky Horror Picture Show were there all clad in their pin-up godliness, and Third Eye Blind cut the ribbon to start the walk off. Starbucks, Culligan Man, and Outback Steakhouse offered their products and services to everyone. The community really came together, and it was absolutely fantastic! Walking for charity will be a main-stay in my life from this point on, it felt awesome!
I am hoping to quit smoking, maybe run a marathon for charity, but I’ll save that for my next list of 43 things. = )
(will add pics as soon as I get them!)
