How I did it: Contact your local bar association (as in lawyer) . Ours provided a booklet to study, once you've studied the rules and fess, make an appointment to take our test. WShen you pass the state contact you for your court date for your official swearing in...Just remember to renew every 5 years. Read how I did it…

Maybe it’s just weird but it occurred to me that I keep meaning to try and become a notary public. Seems like it would save time and be a handy thing when you need it. What’s sad is that the thirty dollar fee is what’s stopping me. I guess it’s just always time and money right now, time and money.
Hi all
In my state I need to be endorsed by 2 notaries and I dont know any. Anyone else have this problem or know what I can do?
thanks for your help

It was for my mom anyway. And it’s actually not my job to give her career advice.
My notary certificate arrived in the mail today. I know its silly, but I felt proud of myself. This is the first of my goals that I’ve set that I accomplished. Now I get to mark it off and add a new goal.
Not that I am not willing to help others do it, you just simply don’t need help. Notary law is very clear and easy to understand and you don’t need to spend $$$ on a seminar or a course. Just download a copy of your State’s Notary Public Law and study it at your own pace and leisure, then take your State’s exam and voila! Not going to make you rich because the $$$ you can charge for notarizing documents is peanuts, but it’s very convenient to have.

I don’t want to do it; I want to get my mother to do it. But I’d like to do some of the legwork/research for her, and I wanted to ask the group for some feedback, so I signed up for the goal.
