I went to Physical Therapy today and got my first ever professional massage. It was pretty nice. They also hooked some electrodes up to my back and put some ice on it. It was a lot less scary than I thought it was going to be :)

Hate My Back
I had another painful spasm in my back while I was sleeping last night. Went to the doctor and got some muscle relaxers. I have finally decided to go to physical therapy. I’m worried about getting a muscle spasm when I’m driving, so if PT can help me then its worth a try.

I went to the doctor today for my back and they did an x-ray. Hopefuly I’ll get the results back soon so I won’t have to worry about whether I need surgery or not.

I had a really bad muscle spasm in my back today. I could feel it building up for the past several weeks, but I thought I could avoid it by doing some exercising and stretching. At this point I have no clue if I’m helping it at all or just making it worse. So I’ve decided just to see a specialist. I’m going back to work soon and I don’t want to have to worry about my back when I’m driving – or having to take sick days.
It really sucks. I hate going to the doctor and I hate not being able to do things I want to do.

My back is like when twisted ball of Bleh. I hurt it doing a really ambitious yoga move about 6 months ago and it has been torturing me ever since. I got a referal to see a physical therapist but I would like to try to heal it on my own if I can.
I looked up some books on Amazon, and they have some that look pretty promising. I know that I’m really going to have to develop a routine if I want to see any improvement on it. I figure I’ll give it a try and if nothing improves, I’ll make my way over to therapy.
I hope it works, because having back pain is not fun.

I started a new exercise regime two weeks ago. It’s called Slim in 6. It’s from TV. Haha. Auuh, I didn’t order it, a friend did and I am borrowing it. Well, my back is getting stronger. And I guess I don’t know what I did, but over the course of the last year, I think my back has gotten stronger and my torso has shrunk a bit. It’s probably from yoga, (which I haven’t been doing lately), but will start again after my six weeks of toning and building strength. I am a bit worried about the program because most of the moves make my bad knee pop and crack so I really have to watch it. I am so ready to get Slim in 6 weeks though. You just have to work out six days a week for six weeks and you move to a more difficult workout every two weeks. The workouts are great for the strange climate changes we’ve been experiencing here in mpls. It has been really cold every other day so when I am working and begin to feel cold, I just get up and do the workout and it keeps me warm for a few hours. It’s gonna be all about getting my blood circulating this winter.

I’ve known this for a while. I have even made the appointment. I just chickened-out and didn’t go. I will get up the gumption to go, I have to. I cannot go on this way.

well in reality, i think i was being a hyponchondriac about it.
i slept on the floor and that really helped it out but i kept waking up. i got a better office chair, that majorly helped.
i broke up with my bf – having that stress removed is great.
and let’s see, oh yes, my dr. ordered back xrays bc she feared that i might have arthritis, so of course that majorly freaked me out.
the xrays said everything was fine. it was always a muscle problem and now it’s gone. good luck all

Does anybody know a great way to strengthen your back without needing some kind of elaborate home gym? It seems like the only time I can ever feel my back muscles working is during yoga, but I want more. Should I do push ups? I used a resistance strap attached to my door tonight and that seems like it has some back strengthening potential, but who knows? Give me some tips if you got ‘em!

My back has been hurting for years and I’m only 23. I currently work as a CNA at a nursing facility and I am lifting people all day long. It kills my back. So the doctor gave me some strengthening stretches to help my back. I just havent started doing them yet. I would rather sleep….
