I have 2 poems published, one in a local magazine (it was a contest and my poem had the most votes, thanks to my friends haha) and another one was published in a book. It is a book that has 1001 lovepoems and one of them is mine.
I think it’s realy cool to do this once. It’s not that special, but it gives a good feeling.

I’ve been writing now for a few years and it’s my way of coping with things. The thing is I really love my poems and the people I trust and show my work to say I should get it published and truthfully I want to. My poems are very dreary, I wont lie. They do hold a lot of meaning to me though. You can’t force writing you have to feel it then it will be a masterpiece.

NaPoWriMo has taught me a few things already. The most important are that I’m actually able to write a draft for a poem everyday, if I push myself to do it. And the realization that it’s enjoable and exciting, even though I’ve thought a few times “not again, not another poem…” Also, I realized that I’m able to adhere to a prompt – something I couldn’t imagine before. Sooo… I’m going to be more serious about trying to find opportunities for having my poetry published.
I’m sorting through the wikipedia list of German literary journals (A-K done) and already found a few magazines I can submit poetry to. One for young, unpublished authors sounds very, very, very promising (great concept, publisher and recognition) and I’ll strive to meet their literary standards. I’m not sure if I can (might have to practice for a few more years :D), but I guess it’s good to have a challenging goal.
Once NaPoWriMo is over, I’ll commit to writing more (and more elaborate) German poems and submit them.

toothshiner Setting life's goals, writing them down to review daily.
As Winter Ends
We stare out once frosty window panes
At stark tree branches
Outlined against and jutting into
The gray white winter sky.
As Winter Ends
People bloom from their houses
When an unexpected warm day
Draws us outside
And teases us with spring.
As Winter Ends
What was just yesterday
Cozy, warm, secure
Indoors becomes
Suffocating, oppressing and sad.
As Winter Ends
Daffodils grow amazingly
From the cold ground
Green blades of rebirth
Shooting yellow tips reflecting the sun.
As Winter Ends
Thoughts change from
Holiday memories and New Year resolutions
To vacation, barbecues
and longer daylight hours.
As Winter Ends
What seemed impossible
Is now within reach.
What seemed dreary and stagnant
Is now bright and possible.

Somewhere,is a place for me to see
Somewhere,is a place for me to be
Somewhere,is a place for meto go,
Somewhere, shall bring me forth a
whole new show
There is always a place for me to see,
there is always a place for me to know,
there is always a place for me to go
Somewhere, out there, is is a place for

I have been down long roads and valleys and still come out doing my best. See i am a phenomenal woman and i wont settle for less. You might not like my thickness, or the shape of my face, but i still wont settle for less. You might not like my big size chest, or when i smile my dimples show. But still i wont settle for less, you might not like my stomach or my thick thighs or maybe even my sway as i walk, but that don’t mean i will settle for less. It might be you don’t like my hair or how i talk, or maybe even some of the things i say. But hey i am me, and that i will always be, from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. See i told you i am a phenomenal woman and i love who i am. See i am beautiful inside and out so one thing is, I’m not about to settle for anything less!!

...the poems I write are improving. And though they’re still far from perfect, I’ll send some to a poetry magazine. Who knows…

I wrote a poem about Christmas for school one year. My parents found out about it, read it, and then without me knowing sent it in to our local newspaper who ended up publishing it! I was upset at the time because I didn’t want anyone to read some lame poem I had wrote. Now, since I’m older, I think it’s cool that I got to share something with other people at such a young age.

i went to poetry.com & entered a free contest there & out of thousands of entries mines was hand picked along with maybe a hundred or two others & itll be in a book that will be out this fall.
here my poem:
So ii Thouqht.
Our love was so strong…
Or So i Thought
A War Between our Hearts Wouldn’t be Fought
Or So i Thought
Never Feeling Distraught
Or So i Thought
Tears Of Sorrow Over you… not.
Or So i Thought
What we had was Rare
Or So i Thought
i Love You…
Or So i Thought
The Reality… i fought.
in Your Game i Was Caught…
Or So i Thought
