okay! So, I forgot I had a 43 things, but then I remembered and I realized I bought an SLR camera like..last year….anyway it’s amazing and I love my camera and I wouldn’t go back to a point and shoot and it’s TOTALLY WORTH IT. I was soo excited and Im still having fun with shutter speeds and whatnot.
I got a Canon A-1, a 50 MM lens, and a medium yellow filter all for about $200.00 KEH.com my friend check it out!
I am now the proud owner of a Nikon d40X, bought duty-free while in Japan. Still daunted and excited by the prospect of having more control over my photos, now I need to learn to use it properly! :)
(I think I feel a new goal coming on :P)
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time now (upgrading from a Panasonic Lumix FZ5). I’ve been pricing various models of D-SLR camera and have decided on the Nikon D40X, which I hope to buy over in Japan next week (looking at their BIC Camera website, I should be able to save around $500 on what I’d pay for it here in Australia). It comes with the camera body and two lenses (Nikkor 18-55mm and 55-200mm; with VR), which should defintely get me started! :)
This fall I’m going to start building my photography portfolio. By Spring I’ll be able to transfer to Art School.
