It was pretty easy because I have a toyota and the filter is easy to reach. Also, my brother supervised me so he answered all my questions. But I did finally change my own oil. Yea Me!

My younger brother went with me to the auto store and we bought the oil and filter and YES! I finally changed my own oil! (with supervision) but that counts! Yea!
It’s definately worth learning, for the money you save and for all of the guys who are impressed ;)
Well, I was pregnant and had the baby 8 weeks ago, so changing the oil has fallen as a priority way down on the list. I had it professionally changed this week, so maybe next spring or something, because I don’t think I will want to do this in the winter. Such a little thing, but I do want to do this at least once in my life!
Well, my husband has been out of town a lot for the hurricane recovery so I couldn’t have him show me how. I paid $42.50 for the oil change. Maybe next change he will be in town to show me.
I will have succeeded with this goal when I change the oil and filter by myself and dispose of the used oil and filter properly. Then I can decide if I want to continue. But I still want to learn how.
I know my dad and brothers can do it, so why can’t I learn how instead of paying the extra $10 or $15 for someone else’s 20 minutes of labor.
