Just scanned all the papers I had and stopped printing out everything. 2 years ago

Kari DanielFar from it...

I’m stealing this goal from someone else because this is something I REALLY need to work on. Paper has always been my weakness when it comes to living completely green. I can do without a lot of things but I like having my bills on paper and then a receipt of payment (even if I make the payment online) attached to that bill. I tired doing paperless statements once but ended up going back to getting the bill in the mail. I don’t know where this compulsive need for paper copies comes from but its always been then. Its one of my weird little ticks I guess….But I KNOW that I’ve been the cause of WAY to many dead trees now and I need to put a stop to it!!! I always have all my Jazzercise routines that I print out…which is at least 30 sheets of paper every 3 months…I really don’t need hard copies of those….I should just look at the PDF instead…
I’ll start by moving everything to paperless statements and stop printing out my payment receipts for online payments…and no more Jazzercise routines on paper….We’ll see how this goes…......... 4 years ago

davescapeI want to get rid of the piles of paper and go digital

I’m tired of the different stacks of paper that pile up and go through the assorted stacks I have in desks, drawers, file cabinets and boxes. I want to scan them to PDF, tag them and create a system for keeping found things found. 5 years ago

RoxananI think I'm as paperless as I'm going to get, but I'll continue to strive for more paperlessness

I’m done going thru all the files and I just have one drawer in my desk now with important documents and such that I need to keep copies of. I have one small file cabinet and one large one that are now empty! Yay! I downloaded all of the manuals we need in pdf form so I got rid of a box of those too! I still have a drawer that I keep my bills in, and then I’ll throw those out when I pay bills the following month. I think I did pretty well. 5 years ago

RoxananThis is very, very time consuming

Not like I have that much free time anyway. But I really love the feeling of throwing away all that paper and going from a thick file folder to one with just a few sheets in it, or none at all! If I can manage to finish this, keeping up with it won’t be so bad if I just schedule a scanning/shredding/filing session every week. 5 years ago

RoxananFeasible or not?

Hmmmm. Thinking about this…
Things to do:
Delete stuff on comp to make room
Find digital manuals and throw paper ones away
Backup files

This would eliminate so many papers that are taking up space in the office but will be time consuming. Is it worth it? 5 years ago

RoxananA question

Anyone have any advice on the most efficient ways to do this? 5 years ago
