From my insurance agent yet I still haven’t called him. I just know he’ll want us to up our coverage and I haven’t the extra money in the budget to do that now. I know it’s on my list but I’m not there yet…

I found a web site that has form templates for the wills.
Here’s Don’s

And mine

Plus, there’s a Revocable Trust Agreement

This would be a good idea too. We should create our family trust & place the house in the name of said trust. That way no one can place a lien against us via our home. In the industry I’m in it makes sense but I need to get past this part first!
Completed!
I have each document completed, witnessed & notarized!!
I found my paper work last night for this one. Now all I have to do is fill it out, get it notarized and place it in the safe. I am 1 small step closer to completing this goal.
After reading jessyroberts entry this morning I realize we’re really under-prepared in the event of whatever kind of tragedy. I need to get off my ass & call my agent regarding my 2 life insurance policies. I can’t even honestly remember what my policy payouts are?? I always thought “It’ll do because I don’t want a big funeral. Cremate me, have a party & be done with it!”. Yet sitting back and really thinking neither of us would be able to pay the mortgage alone not even mentioning the massive bills. SIGH! I hate thinking of this type of thing yet it can’t remain unattended much longer…
To start planning for the inevitable even if the mere thought scares the shit outta me. I want to know that all my belongings go to the people that mean the most to me. I want to make sure that there will be enough money in my estate to pay any debits, pay for a funeral and help my spouse financially. I want to make sure my step daughter is in good hands.
