I spent a semester in Sevilla. It was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering studying abroad. Sevilla is a cute city- not overwhelming but always more than enough to explore. Also, stay with a host family so you can really learn more about their culture.
If you want to study abroad in Spain (or really anywhere in Europe) there is no place like Granada. It’s beautiful and old and near beaches and snowed mountains and Africa. It’s small enough where you can walk just about anywhere but never small enough to be bored of. It’s full of young people just about anywhere you go and so many exhange students that it’s incredibly easy to make friends because everyone else is in the same position as you. Oh and its also incredibly cheap. You pay 1.50 euro for a beer at a bar and they bring you free food with each drink (they are called tapas). Don’t look any further. You won’t ever regret it.
you’ll be forced to become more fluent. i lived in sevilla for three and a half weeks. i wished i had gone for longer.
I spent 2 months in summer 2001 studying there. And then traveling around the country for a couple weeks with a backpack and a best friend. It was awesome. I mean, just awesome. All the great experiences were great, and all the horrible experiences made for awesome memories. I am so so glad I was talked into doing it.
sprocketgirl is working, like usual!
What a great experience! I spent a summer studying in Spain with my brother when I graduated from high school. It was a lot of fun, a great adventure!
