scjohnson really needs to get around to goal No.1
For my Honors Creative Writing class last semester, we had to fill a journal with about 60 pages of writing. The instructors give you complete freedom of how you go about doing this… some kids just straight up write on the blank pages with pen, but I got really into it- adding artwork, collaging, decorating. That journal has become my pride and joy; my other art work took a back seat while I was completing it. Even though I fulfilled the requirements for the class and school is over, there’s still a few more pages I’d like to add, just for myself.

This is an awesome goal that many years ago I thought I’d never accomplish. I started sticking to this 6 years ago. I wrote everything in my head, I sketched, and tape all kinds of things in my books. Just carry your journal with you everywhere and when inspiration strikes you put it in your book. I have 5 complete books and I’m almost finished with number 6.
I cherish my journals ao much that I have them locked in my fire proof safe. They’re my greatest life work.

smallsmile can't believe how fast time is passing.
Wrote my last entry today. I’m kind of oddly attached to it, it’s like a friend dying. It’s quite big and aqua/teal-colored with white hummingbirds on it. I started it September 2, 2006 and ended it today July 22, 2007. It’s certainly helped me get through this year. Time to move on to the next though.

I’ve journaled since I was about seven, but I’ve yet to ever finish a true journal from start to finish. Some spiral notebooks maybe, but nothing more formal. I started writing in this large hardcover journal a couple days after school started, and now i’m comopletely addicted, I write like five pages a day. It looks like I’ll finish write (ha..right/write) about when school ends, which will be highly convenient.

Lissi is not looking forward to today
since I was 10 years old. And I still look back on them all. I stopped keeping a journal when I started blogging, but am starting again. I miss the way my pen scratches the paper.

I want to take a new journal with me to NY!!!! I only have about 6 blank pages left in this one and I want to finish now—nothing I am writing is very insightful because all I can think of is how much I want to finish this #x%x journal!!!! Here’s hoping to writing something this morning!
