Sacramento to Lake Tahoe and Back

Several years ago I made a tour from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe and back. We took four days to ride up to the lake via Truckee, out through South Lake Tahoe, over Carson Pass, down to Placerville, Colima and back to Sacramento. We were self contained, carrying all of our camping gear, food and water. Had a great time riding, camping, fishing and just enjoying the great outdoors. We took a year training for this to deal with the long climbs and altitude. Well worth doing.
