I officially started my volunteer position at the local museum. I’m currently just helping with events, but I’m supposed to be studying my review materials and learning to give tours to help the museum.
I’m also looking into other volunteer positions, including one at a center that helps people to cope with cancer which would help with another one of my goals.
I hope they all work out and that I’ll contribute in a meaningful way to society and have a longterm impact.

J is amazed.
I’m 100% sure that I’ll contribute to society somehow. That is, if you consider contributing to society just living like everyone else is. It kinda is, if you think about it.
But in this context – the ‘do something big and meaningful’ context – I’ve been mulling over the idea of joining this youth think-tank as a policy officer.

I don’t want to be pointless. I want to make a difference, not only on a local scale but on at least a regional or national scale. Therefore, my first, and most important goal is to make a difference in society.
My own way of starting has been volunteering at my local library and I’ve taken on a new volunteer role with a museum nearby, although that hasn’t officially started yet. Secondly, I try to make differences in people lives’ through spreading cheers throughout 43 Things and spending time on FreeRice.
I’m looking for more volunteer gigs and I’m working towards my ultimate goal of becoming a novelist. I’m hoping that becoming a writer will help me grow in prominence and that I’ll be able to influence everyone else to do their part.

There are many organizations worth giving your time to. Working for Legal Aid I know we are always in need of people to volunteer their time to help keep things running smooth…..without them our job would be that much harder.
