We’re proud of you for doing this!
eobo now has $530 in sponsorship! Excellent news! Thanks to everyone who has spread the word and those who have sponsored. Don’t stop now though! There’s still time to sponsor him some more for this worthy cause.

Unfortunately I don’t have the spare time right now to go into this subject in as much depth as I would like, so I will just be as brief as possible.
The Livestrong Challenge supports the Lance Armstrong Foundation. While I don’t agree with 100% of their spending choices, I haven’t found a cancer foundation that I do agree with 100%, so meanwhile, I respect the LAF for what they’re trying to do. It’s a unique approach, to focus on the issues relating to the survival of cancer.
What’s so hard about surviving cancer? Well, I talked about a little bit of it here. A lot of survivors struggle with anxiety. Up to 25% experience “clinically significant depression”. I did. But I don’t know many cancer patients who get a psychologist appointment along with their oncologist appointment. This needs to change.
Support is important, too. I had a very common cancer in the grand scheme of things, but it’s very unusual in young people. I felt like an oddball. Still, six years later, I get grilled whenever I go for tests – How old were you? How did you find it? Did you smoke? Did you have chemical exposure? I was also raising young children, they were 2 and 4 at the time of my diagnosis. I needed support from other parents fighting cancer, and support from other young patients with my type of cancer (incidently, I found none). Anyhow, my point is that the LAF focuses on providing support to those surviving cancer.
I wish I had more time to clarify my thoughts on this subject, but I’ll put this out there anyhow, and ask those who read it to consider how important this foundation is to cancer survivors and their families. Please consider supporting eobo in his fundraising efforts, either financially, or by joining this goal with us. He only has three more days to raise $50 more. And I would love to see him exceed his goal! Go team 43T!
And we’re still $50 short – time to stand up and be counted! You can support eobo by sponsoring him.
If you’ve already donated, thank you! I know not everyone is in a position to donate, but you can still help by passing this message along to your friends and to their friends. Thanks!
Just $50 to collect in five days – eobo is 43T’s official representative in the 100 mile Livestrong Challenge. I really hope a few more people will contribute a few more dollars to help him reach his fundraising target of $500. You can sponsor him here.
Thanks!

Eobo has a goal of raising $500. With my donation this morning, he’s now at $450. Surely there’s ten of you out there who are willing to donate $5 each to help him reach his goal. It’ll only take five of you $10 each. Instead of going and seeing the sucky “Pirates” movie or even worse that “Click” movie, donate it to a good cause. It’s even tax deductible.

milkbox is happy! is even happier still :D
Okay, now that we’ve got your attention…
eobo is going on the Livestrong Challenge on Saturday and it would be great if we could help him raise the last $150 of his pledges. It would be even better, downright Grand if someone would consider sponsoring him; it’s for an exceedingly worthy cause and the sponsorship would go a long, long way.
eobo is riding 100 miles this Saturday, and still has $150 of donations to collect. I hope you’ll consider sponsoring him in this very worthy cause (not to mention tremendous physical effort) – every amount will help.
Thanks!

Eoboneeds us! He’s raised 70% of his pledges, but he’s only got one week left to raise another $150! Let’s help him!
(If you aren’t able to donate, could you at least consider adding this to your goals?)
