I saw his spoken word a few years back at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. Excellent show.
Couldn’t stand him on that dumb TV show though!

DoctorTeeth loves loves LOVES "The Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross!
I’ve seen Henry Rollins live 5 times now; given the average length of his show, that means I’ve spent about fifteen hours in his presence. He’s a really good speaker, playing with the audience, bringing them up and down with ease. And he moves through different kinds of performance without jarring interruptions: political rant, travel stories, celebrity anecdotes. Every time I see him I feel like I want to write him a letter and tell him how inspirational he is. But I often feel like I’ll just get a letter back that says “Duly noted.” Ah well. He’s a good speaker, anyhow.
It’s an amazing experience, he is a truely inspirational person, dedicated to changing the world for the better.
He also has the biggest neck of any person I have ever seen, but that is of no consequence…
He’s an absolutely awesome speaker. If you get the chance to see him in action, I 100% recommend it!
ArmandoJr still on the honeymoon!
I’ve seen Henry perfom with his band, I’ve seen him in a coffee shop read from his book, but when he’s on stage talking about things going on today…it is truly an opinion to be heard!
so I can see if he’ll be near us sometime soon and I’m buying tickets for me and my husband as soon as this happens!
scooterbird is a busy guy lately
...and he’s from around this area. I’ve seen him in Baltimore and D.C.; it’s good every time, though some times are better than others. Hank’s encounter with William Shatner must be heard to be believed…
about 5 yrs ago. At that time, I had read all of his books, had all of his music. But, I was very dissappointed in his spoken word show. It felt empty and leaned more on the side of poor comedy. I have not had much interest in his work since then.
It was incredible. I am amazed at how well he can conrtol crowd emotion. Also saw him in the restraunt across the street before the show. Would love to see him again. Just wish I enjoyed his books as much.
