My friend Carl introduced me to the basic concepts and I am intriged and losing regularly. But I know I can master this eventurally!
Chess makes my head hurt. I have played it less than 10 times in my life. Every move splits off into a myriad of possibilities, and I find it very unsettling.
So Backgammon, the perfect game. The number of sensible moves is limited and easily calculated with practice, it’s linear (you move in one direction only), and you can still keep it together even while drunk. Yes, a perfect game.
Just enough chance to blame any defeat on luck, but not enough to discredit your victories.

Backgammon is a game I’ve often seen yet never played. I need to read the rules and at least understand how the game is played, even if I never actually play it.
