I would love to just relax and indulge in a swim under a waterfall preferably in Hawaii but hey, I am surly not picky.

Dizziwish is not an artist, but has created a masterpiece.
How I did it: i swam i got pushed down, i paniced i nearly drowned...the end. I was in laos, the local custom is to be fully dressed, i am a confident swimmer but the fear of the water hitting my head meant i ducked under, i got caught and i felt like i was drowing, which left me freaking out so i nearly did... It was a couple of years ago… I forget the specific waterfall. But it was kind of intense. Like a really strong water massage. Really strong.
The rock archway of Natural Bridge spans the mountain-fed waters of Cave Creek. Behind the bridge, the creek forms a waterfall which plunges into a gaping hole, disappearing into the depths of a cavern. From the pool below the bridge emerges a sparkling stream, which flows into a river and down the rain forest valley.
Sigh. This is something I have long had on my “list of things to do.” I found out that there are some waterfalls in NY State that one can swim in/at, but I am finding my research of the best area to go to a little daunting.

ran across an unexpected waterfall on a hike through Roman Nose State Park in Oklahoma in March… If the outside temp was not in the 30’s I would have gone for it… Not only was this a waterfall but it was underground as well.

I make a point to do this whenever possible… you never regret a swim, especially one under a waterfall

I live in Hawaii, but finally went under my first waterfalls in Fiji! I went underneath so many in one day at a rain forest park called Colo-I-Suva. There were so many natural pools to jump in and swim in and several waterfalls, all different and beautiful and so much fun!
I slid down a smaller waterfalls in Sigatoka Fiji also!
Loved it! Will eventually get back to the ones in Hawaii as well, now that they are flowing again.

I saw this goal on somebody else’s list and cheered it straight away. What a goal to try to achieve!
Perhaps a little too bold, but I would love to swim under Pagsanjan Falls in the Philippines. I went there when I was under 10 years old (I must have been about 8) and loved every minute of the terrifying journey to and from the Falls. Water was not the only thing falling from the cliffs above, there were stones!
We’re going to visit the Philippines in 2009 for our wedding, perhaps a trip to Pagsanjan is in order.

the most amazing thing about waterfalls is their power. You could not swim under a tall falls, other than sort of under it.
I have kayaked to falls, up the Kalihiwai River on Kauai, hiked to them on Maui, Kauai and Hawaii.
The best are the falls at Kalihiwai. Layers of falls and pools, and off the beaten path for sure.
went to Erawan Waterfalls in Kanchanaburi, Thailand and saw lots of different waterfalls and swam under one of them. it felt like a nice warm shower…but i couldn’t really figure out why the water was warm…kind of scared someone was peeing in the water above me! heehe
