I’ve only recently grasped the power and potential of social bookmarking sites. I love being able to access my bookmarks from anywhere and the ability to categorize them with mutilple tags.
I’m a staunch Google fan, so I’m a little ashamed to admit that I love Yahoo’s MyWeb. It’s a social bookmarking site with a twist. It saves a copy of the site you are tagging so that if it changes, or the site is down, you always have a copy of what you were originally interested in.
The only benefit I still see in using del.icio.us is the tight Firefox integration. When I combine the del.icio.us extension with my greasemonkey userscript def.oc.us, adding a bookmark is as easy at hitting Ctrl-Shift-/, typing some tags and hitting enter.
I’m planning on doing the same thing for MyWeb.

While FireFox has many, many excellent features, my personal favourite are the extensions. Accordingly, I’d like to develop a useful extension for FireFox. I’ve did a bit of reading regarding extension development and I’m sure I can handle it from a technical perspective, the trick will be thinking of a truly useful idea to convert to an extension.
