January is when the next woodworking course starts. It is affordable, however I am still broke. I also have a lot on the go. So, here’s the thing: I can make them on Easter weekend on my next trip to my parents’ in Toronto because my Dad has all the tools, the table saw, band saw, jig saw, everything, and though they’re huge, I might be bringing them back in a different car or even a truck – Dad said he had a black wrought iron bed frame for me.
And besides, I can still use Dan’s speakers up on top of my entertainment centre, as I have since the summer, and also, if I’m going to Europe, the speakers are just one more thing to store until I come back or get them shipped to me in Europe.
Edited to add: financially and logistically as well as keeping focused on my real goals, it makes a lot more sense for me to pay Dan for his speakers, keep them, and put this on the long-term-future-goal list, perhaps when I’m in another house. What I have will do for now!

…straight on the heels (simultaneaously, actually) as a positive comment!
As I haven’t found the plans yet – would need a trip to the research library I think – and as I have dance, exercise, and thinking, research and work to do, and as the woodshop is across the street from my house, I’ve decided to postpone this goal until January, when I may be less inclined to trudge very far for my exercise and dance classes – whereas getting out to do them now is quite important to me.
In January I may have more money for the wood and the drivers, too. The course itself is $120.

Anyone got any? I can take a woodworking course across the street from me in September, and have the time… so I want to get prepared shortly!

What are the cones generally made of? I have heard plastic or metal or maybe even cardboard.
Also, what is a good way to seal the speaker to a box/case? Just use some rubber or is there something better?
