So, I summoned the courage to ‘schedule’ a driving lesson with Jas, and then he picked me up late from work and we were expecting company, had to clean the house, and eat dinner, so… we post-poned it until next Thursday. He also said that he didn’t know where to take me, but we figured out a place now.

Well, I have been trying for almost 1 and a half years now for the driving license, but no luck yet. It is difficult & the Royal Oman Police fails you even if your gear makes a sound while changing it. Still, I am on my 8th attempt & don’t wana get motivated with those who have ceated a record of almost 25 tests to get a license. The simple trick as the achievers say is the one has to drive in a confident manne r but the moment Police sits next to you, it is natural to be nervous.I hope luck favours me soon as I will keep the hard work going on!!!

here’s to ANOTHER 5 hours waiting at the dmv to maybe get my license.
kinda ruined my plans, but whatever.
monday i’m stopping at each stop sign FOREVER.
hopefully, the next person who tests me isn’t such an asshole, also.
Me and my boyfriend of 4 years dont really have family so we are kind of on our own. We have a 1 year and 11 month old daughter. The only way we have to get around is from a friend or walking and it is getting tiresome to rely on people to get us around. So one of my main goals in life is to get a license… then get a car.

I finally found my permit (I knew it was on my dresser somewhere amidst a clutter of to-do lists, clothes, and ‘lip chap’. :) The good news is- I have until April of 2010 to practice and decide if I am ready for my test. Seems so daunting, but I am going to take it a step at a time.
After our trip, I am going to have hubby give me a lesson on a Thursday- for 15 min. somewhere where there’s not many cars/people at all. I will log my time so I can have something measurable.
so i don’t have to depend on all of the idiots to give me rides. i can get my own.

I’m 23 now and STILL haven’t gotten my license. I have a terrible phobia of driving and whenever someone asks if I want to practice I just freeze up and feel sick. It’s terrible! I decided I really need to get over this fear and move on. My learner’s permit expires in November so I have until then to take the driving test. As soon as I take the pre-licensing course AGAIN (stupid thing expires after one year… grrr).
