the cookies turned out only ok- not particularly lavender-y. I think the lavender in my garden might not be strong enough. 5 years ago

I’ve made sugar cookies using lavender sugar (layer lavender blossoms and sugar and keep sealed for several weeks). One can also just whirl a couple tablespoons of dried lavender blossoms in the blender and add it to a sugar cookie recipe.
The cookie recipe linked below does sound good! I might have to try it this spring when my lavender is on. 6 years ago
I made the muffins and they were ok, but not very lavendery. I also realised once they were in the oven that I forgot to put in the 1/3 cup vegetable oil but they still turned out ok. They did, however, rise in an alarmingly vertical fashion so that the points eventually fell over and some looked a bit like elephant seals – you know how their snouts are sort of dangly? Don’t know if I can blame the recipe or the lack of vegetable oil for that though. 6 years ago
I’ve inherited a herb garden and a rather large lavender plant. I know you can make lavender cookies but I can’t find any recipes at home… but these sound quite tasty. Although these lavender and blueberry muffins sound good too. 7 years ago
