Looked on ebay but I would prefer to buy a new one with such a big purchase as a laptop as well as being something personal. I want it to write assignments on later on & just to have my own access for when I am ‘settled’...good to have one I guess. I have access to computers & the internet but it would make it much easier. Hmmm

I think this is something do able in the near future. My desktop computer needs a new video card and so right now I don’t have any computer access at home. I think I’ll buy a laptop in the next month as well as a video card to get my desktop back up and running.
I’m thinking of a Toshiba… any thoughts or personal experience you’d like to share?

I really want to do this, but the laptop I desire (the environmentally friendly macbook) costs far too much for my present situations:
I intend on going on a trip of some kind during schoool next year, either a Japan student exchange or to Kenya with MeToWe to build a school, both of which cost equal to or more than a laptop.
Following that I’ll have to be saving money to be able to move into our house that me and my friends will be living in for university.

Well, I may be able to get Mum’s old one, and take it back from NZ to England, to replace my old one, which died a tragic backpack-related death… But she has a thing for ginormo screens, not the nifty 12 inch I prefer, so it’ll be super heavy, and she may expect it back in years to come. Tricky. Shall have a think.
And I guess that this goal is slighly mis-worded then, as I am not so much buying, as acquiring. Hmmmm. I really do need one though in the Uk for internet, and my stupid taxes. Might buy a lotto ticket tomorrow as well, slightly off topic, but for the Greater Cause…
