Jumprope is very hard at first since you tend to jump too high as well as lose the tempo between the arms and feet. After my third baby I made a goal to learn jumprope since I often saw this guy at the gym do it and he made it look like fun. I asked to help me and he did every Thursday after the last aerobic class for about 6 months. He started by showing me basic stuff-hop, jog, heels, move sideways, etc. Then we would do little choreographed routines to the music he had. Then I picked it up again a couple of years ago and practice on my own lots of different moves. Oh yea and I lost alot of weight too! Music is the key because it provides the rhythm—beginners best to start with 125-130 bpm. Have fun!
