donate to the Center for Battered Women in Everett, WA

My husband and I got new cell phones and would like to donate the still functioning old ones to a battered woman shelter. However, we are having trouble finding out where to either drop them off or mail them too?

I enjoy making quilts and I think they are special because they are handmade with care. I hope that they will make someone feel special when they are going through a bad time in their life. My quilt club has been donating them to PIC for premie babies and a shop for people in need to shop using a credit coupon, both in Seattle. I can’t meet with my quilt club because of my schedule but I have still been making baby blankets & quilts to donate. I would like to donate them to the shelter in Everett, in honor of my late sister-in-law who sought shelter there many years ago. Please let me know how I can contact you. I have some ready now and will have more ready soon.

I have donated several bags of stuff to them now. I enjoy giving what I can and will continue to do so.

I would like to give whatever i can. How do i start the process? Also are volunteers needed at all?

I got a small box together over the weekend.
I started by getting rid of all those bottles of lotion and soap that people gave me for my B-Day and Christmas that I will never use.

I knew how to get people to help me with this goal. I feel like if a few people would donate some money or gift cards I could really make a better donation to the shelter. The shelter needs:
Twin sheets & blanket sets, bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry & dish soap, bleach & cleaning products, blow dryers, curling & straightening irons, full-sized lotion, full-sized shampoo & conditioner, towels, bedding (twin), pizza gift certificates, socks & pajamas (women & children), children’s underwear, women’s underwear (5-7) slippers, long distance calling cards

Maybe I’ll ask my family to help donate. I don’t really have any friends up here and my work is out of the question since it is also a struggling non=profit.

Anyone have any other ideas?

I really wanted to do this, this year but things are so tight that I would be giving away that which I needed just as much! I have set this as a 2007 resolution so I WILL do this sometime next year!!!!!!

I’m having money issues right now so…I’m hoping to start on this goal after this summer is over. I want to give them a big box of supplies for their shelter.
