Alright. I’ve set a goal to spend less money. How can I track this? I’ve decided I’m going to track every single thing I spend for the day, and write them down here. I will not include bills, because that’s already worked into the budget. Things that will be included will be gas, parking, food, etc.
My husband and I put every purchase we make on our credit card, then pay it off in full every month, because we get cash back on our purchases. We then use that money towards a vacation every year.
I make a lot of purchases on things I don’t NEED, like going out to eat, shopping for shoes, clothes, and other crap I don’t really need. I like to shop.
I’m giving myself one month to cut down on my spending. I’d like to see how many days I can go without spending any money, honestly.
If I give up, or spend too much, I am going to cut up my credit card and make my husband give me cash only.

This is actually going quite well. I’m generally spending far less money than last year, mostly because I haven’t been out drinking as much. I have a house to drink in now! So I think I’ll count this as done for the moment.

I work in a clothes shop, I buy a lot of clothes. I buy everytime I’m in work and so I’m spending all the money I make back onto clothes and maybe possibly more than I earn. I’m going to need to break this habit!

Really need to spend less money so that I can save more money in order to help me achieve some of my other goals, like Making a trip back to Nigeria or Teaching English abroad. Gonna try and put aside £250 from my next paycheck and NOT TOUCH IT!!!

My mom just retired so she’s going to be able to help me do some yard sales this year, which should bring in a few hundred dollars, yeah we have that much stuff to get rid of. As long as I put it in the paper I have no doubt we’ll make that much money, and instead of spending it like I always do I plan on putting it in my savings account. I really need to get back on track with saving, I plan on saving $10-$25 from each paycheck, as long as I get consistent hours again, and then whatever I make from the internet and yard sales and things like that, I plan on taking that and putting it in my savings.

it started because I literally had NO money, but then I got a check for something and I put it in the bank and still haven’t spent a cent. I’m just sort of pretending that I don’t have that money so I’m still spending (or not spending) like I am the most broke person in the world. It’s not a lot of money at all so I’m saving it for a rainy day until I get some cash from my new job:-) However, I desperately want to take myself out to happy hour at my favorite haunt. Soon enough I will!
