How I did it: I just started setting my alarm. Ideally you should have the same/a similar wake up and bed time every day. I usually tried to go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 7. It's important to figure out how much sleep you actually need- I only need 7 to 7 and a half hours, but some people do need a little more. Try cutting back your sleep time until you wake up and you feel like it is physically possible to get out of bed. If you wake up … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got really busy with college, jobs, worries, social life, etc etc... and now I PRAY for days when I can get more than 6 hours of sleep... *yawn*. The nicest thing is when I'm on vacation or having a break and I fill my days with interesting things to do, then I take naps but get up fresh and happy... that hasn't happened in a while. Now I sleep 6 hours, but it too much! I want to sleep less to have more time to live.
I currently sleep about 12 hours a day. If I cut back on sleep at night, I just make it up in naps, so I want to reduce the overall amount of time I spend sleeping, not just move it from morning to afternoon. For the past 2 nights, I have been using a C-PAP machine to help with my recently diagnosed sleep apnea. I hope that as my sleep becomes more efficient, I will be able to get by with less.

I generally seem to sleep okay, though there are problems with my boyfriend’s snoring. I just have such a hard time waking up and getting out of bed. I end up getting up at the last minute and racing around to get out of the door on time. it makes for a lousy beginning to my day. sigh

I was giving myself 8 hours of sleep, but I found myself waking up somewhere between an hour and half an hour earlier. I’d force myself to go back to sleep, and then I’d wake up groggy. So I’m trying for only 7 and a half hours of sleep now. We’ll see how it goes.

I have a bedtime of 12-12:30 and I’m setting my alarm to go off at 8. While I do wake up ealierI also convince myself to jsut lay in bed longer and snuggle with the pillows. I’d like to get out of bed a bit faster.
I’d also like to try an alarm clock that wakes you up with soothing sounds of the ocean and such instead of the dreaded siren-y shriek.

Basically drink juice, rid of junk food and you there. Warning I did it in matters of research, now end up with sleeping issues, like sleeping 15 min a week. I’m pretty active and stuff, but i need constant source of energy or my system will fail. Note source is juice most people get effect from orange juice, I prefer Arizona apple. And do not drink coffee nor cappuccino, well unless you want to have a heart failure.
I have always tried to sleep just enough hours to function throughout the day. I’ve always attempted to wake up at 6 a.m and started the day right away – but failed miserably because my housemates were still soundly asleep, and i also became a victim to my pathetic debate with the ‘mind’ that told me ‘it’s ok, it’s still so early in the morning. what will 2 hours (or more) harm you, anyway?’. So, i pulled on the comforter and continued to sleep until it was almost 10 / 11 a.m. How did i feel? i felt so exasperated. i felt lethargic. i felt useless. and regretful. i am battling this habit till today. i want to live more and sleep less! I want to be productive. be happy. sleep is important, i know. but too much of it is like a drug that slowly kills me, now i am on the verge of its threat.
Wish me good luck!

No more 5 hour naps during the day! As a teenager I need more sleep…around 12 hours but I’d still like to keep a time limit. :p I sleep way too much and because of that I don’t do homework and don’t eat, which is also why I need to gain weight. :)
