What a privilege to have a garden space to fix up. I enjoy working in the garden because; I find it rewarding. The garden is the exemplary of the ‘fruits of labour’ wise saying.
I enjoy the opportunity to share the abundance, to beam with pride when I reveal that ‘I grew it myself’ the physical investment is healthy exercise,it is important for the bees and butterflies to have plants as their food, and homes. It is refreshing, and healing to work with the earth, and see things growing to their maturity. For me, it is a privilege.
I hope you will be encouraged to fix up your garden. Enjoy! 3 years ago

still a work in progress.
Manage to find a gardener, who has levelled the garden and pulled up the weeds. It is a carpet of white right now with a snow man slap bang in the middle. 4 years ago

this is finally taking shape. Earth dug, levelled, garden rubbish bagged up in biodegradable bags and now a compost bin takes a proud spot in the North corner of the garden.
Tomorrow the real fun begins, as now I can begin working along with the ‘gardener’ on creating a creative, calm, alive, caribbean sun kissed space. 5 years ago

It has been cut, it looks so vast, I actually felt sick and excited. Excited as I think so much space to be all creative, sick as I thought how am I going to create a calm, welcoming, fragrant and fun enviroment. 5 years ago

This is truly a thorn in my side. The weather has been great and I am sick. I get up every morning and I am faced with the horrific fact that I may have to face facts and hire someone to do this as i really can’t handle this all by myself. 5 years ago

Plan: pray, yoga, breakfast, wash/dress,go for a walk and get the nylon for the strimmer and then cut the other half of the garden.
Actual: raining, pray, breakfast, wash/dress, pick up a relative from the airport, a nap, still raining, still raining, around 2pm no rain, watching DVDs and drinking hot chocolate with whip cream and the garden…................. 6 years ago

My cousin came round today, just turned up at my house all organised to cut the grass that had now reached above my knees. See this is what happens when you tell others about 43things, they feel they have to motivate you; we got the strimmer, clippers and rake going. I am exhausted and my muscles ache; a good work out and this means I achieved something towards my get healthy goal. 6 years ago

I have a garden the size of a football pitch, i look out the window the sheer size of it just makes me go back under the quilt.
I finally brought some weed killer, sprayed it and a lot of the weeds have died, I’ve dug some up and pulled a few out, there is a pile of garden rubbish that needs burning now, just haven’t done it yet. 6 years ago

Started on this today. I weeded, pruned, hacked and raked until I felt like I was going to pass out. Most of my potted plants are ready to be transplanted into the ground, so that will be my next task. I also planted some Moonflower and Sweet Pea seeds :) 6 years ago
