So I just did the assessment. I’ve got 40 out of the 100 points. I don’t suppose that’s too bad. I’ve taken the assessment before and had a significantly lower number. It seems that I’ve naturally moved towards a more complete life in the past few years. So, that’s a good start.
Now where do I begin with the rest of the points? Hmmm…

to the “I give up category”, because, like so many other things in my life, I won’t have the money to do many of them until I finish school and Je has a job that pays what he deserves. It’s seriously bumming me to see these goals that I want and just can’t get yet because of something beyond my control. Accept the things I cannot change, and focus on what I can.
So I’ll move it back in 18 months or so. I’m treating myself well today by knowing my limitations in my current time, resources, and situation, and spreading my resources rather thickly, not thinly.
I will do this one day. Just not today =P

I’m going to aim to raise this score by about 30 points by September.

Well, that’s not great really, is it?
This is made up of 6 in physical environment, 4 in wellbeing, 5 in money and 14 in relationships…..which suprises me a little bit as I consider myself ok with money and quite physically fit but definitely not a people person. Time to get cracking…..

Physical Environment:
My paperwork is neat and filed away: +1
Well being:
A complete physical: +1
Blood pressure at very healthy level (which is cool cause I have brought it down from pre-hypertension levels by cutting down caffeine): +1
I (now) rarely use any form of caffeine, which includes chocolate: +1
+3 total in this category
So Physical environment: 14
Well-being: 16
total score now 60!

I like lists

because I am someone who is task oriented. However I’m am ADD sort of person, and distract easily. So when I’m given detailed instructions and directions, I can BabyStep my way into doing things. Sticking with both the FlyLady program and Alcoholics Anonymous has proven that to me.
So I did the score, and I’m 56. That is what they say is the average range for a beginner, and actually a couple of my goals on my 43 things list are the same goals as on the checklist. I can see where my biggest problems are, and will work on them, mostly concerning money. I’m pretty excited, so if I can check off a couple a month I’ll be happy. So here I go…

Edit: I’m writing down my scores so I don’t forget:
Physical Environment: 13
Well being: 13
Money: 8 (sigh)
Relationships: 22 (go me!)
I already have a couple of goals that should be easier to get done rather quickly.

Still being an honest and hard grader.
I think my progress has a lot to do with re-marrying. My first husband wasn’t conducive to feeling accepted for who I was/am. (Not blaming him, it’s just the way he was, he had many fine qualities.)
My current (and last!) husband knows and accepts me with all my quirks and imperfections, and is still crazy about me. Makes me feel confident and special.
I still have plenty to work on, though. I’m not giving up on this!
