hold doors open for people

When I see people that hold doors for people, it just amazes me. How can people be so rude? I hold the door for anyone and everyone.

I wouldn’t think of not holding the door. I don’t think anyone ever told me that I was supposed to, I just do. Most people around here hold doors. There are some rude people, especially with the younger generations.

It just common courteously. Everyone should open the door for anyone else. But especially if they have their hands full.

i always do it, its just polite, especially at school when people are usually carrying a heap of things.

I hate it when people refuse to pass through the doors I so kindly open for them. And I don’t like it much when people open doors for me, except for very particular circumstances, in which I actually love it.

I always do this for people it’s nice and they smile back at you. I remember opening a door for a male teacher once and after that even though he didn’t know who I was he would smile at me when we saw each other.

Although I’ve noticed if there’s an older man coming and I stand aside and open the door for him they always refuse and insist I go first :-)
