I used my new pan today and I am thrilled, so thrilled it is almost unnatural. Okay, it IS unnatural, but don’t judge me until you’ve cooked with new pans.

had to purchase one the other day, so I got a wee one that is a special non-stick able to resist scratches from metal utensils—just in case someone else uses it. I’m looking forward to cooking with it tomorrow.
I did not get the pots & pans or the cutlery that I wanted. Boo hoo, I bought a lens and another camera instead. Plus, my suitcases were so full already and I knew I’d have no room for them here, at least for a few more months. I’ll keep this goal at the bottom of the list until I’m in a better position to revisit it.
I’ve been to target four times so far since arriving in Seattle, which was only two weeks ago!
They have a great kitchen area, even carrying the caphalon pots & pans I like. I take a stroll by the aisle each time I’m there, drooling a little over the pans I’d like to take back to Glasgow with me.
And the next aisle over has the coveted cutlery…
but, I’m holding out for a Memorial Day sale to pick up these bare necessities. Oh yes, they will be mine.
The “set” I currently have is, well, cheap crap. It was all we could afford when we moved into the flat. Lately I’ve been dreaming about the beautiful calphalon set I left behind in the States.
Today I was window shopping and saw that Frasers is having a big sale, and this 5-piece set is marked down to £75. It would be so nice to be able to cook a meal properly.
