walk along railroad tracks

I don’t usually do daring things. In fact – my husband, brother and cousin were going to jump off a railroad bridge and I went along only to carry their shoes and shirts back down for them. Well, a few of us were sitting up there on the railroad tracks. It was Sunday – I was pretty sure trains didn’t run on Sundays. Then my brother calmly said, “Train.” I looked and saw the lights. Before he finished speaking I was sprinting for the path. The rest of the people decided to jump. That run was the slowest 20 seconds of my life. I couldn’t believe the situation I had gotten myself into. I had to sprint on large rocks wearing flip flops all alone. I made it though, with 10 seconds to spare.
