I’d love to see the cubs play the rays at wrigley

Wrigley is an old f*ing stadium. It’s like the Archie Bunker of ballparks. Nothing flashy, nothing aesthetic, but hey, you like being around it.
I was there early in the season (May 2004) and the Ivy hadn’t grown in yet. But I brought Ivy of my own, My Ivy Adams!
Sosa and his giant ass were in right field (man does that guy have a giant ass). I’m glad we went that year, because Sosa left the team the next year.
A small stadium, very dark under the seats, and old toilets. The stadium sits in the middle of a working class neighborhood in Chitown. You’re walking down the street, apartments, apartments, apartments, baseball park….OH!
One really memorable image in my head, the makeshift seating on top of the apartment buildings across the street from the outfield, and all of the little people sitting in this seats. It looks totally ridiculous, but that’s what gives it its charm.
